***All creators retain the rights to their work and may request their work removed from the site at any time.
***LKM never charges reading or submission fees. We also do not pay contributors for their work, but do offer mentorship as recompense.
Submission Guidelines
Submit your work if...
- You're between 5 and 13 years old.
- Your writing, artwork, or photography is original and hasn't been published before.
- You have your parent or guardian's permission via this form.
- You're able to communicate with LKM mentors using a parent or guardian's email address.
We accept submissions in the following CATEGORIES
- Writing: Fiction (1500 words or less), Non-fiction (1500 words or less), and Poetry
- Art (scans in jpeg format)
- Photography
*** Limit of three submissions per category per issue.
*** We cannot accept every submission. If we pass on your submitted work, feel free to send materials in the future for another issue.
Submission Steps
1. Check out the current issue theme.
2. Create an original piece of writing or art to correspond with the theme.
3. Complete the permission form.
4. Send your age, bio, submissions (in the body of the email) and attached permission form to: litkidsmagazine@gmail.com
(Put SUBMISSIONS - [Category] in the email subject line.)
5. Celebrate your hard work and awesome creativity!
